Love Brett Favre! The adversity he dealt with made him a stronger person.
Several of the leaders we are reading about had to deal with some type of adversity. Do you think the way they dealt with their adversity helped them develop their leadership qualities?
I must admit, when Brett Favre made the announcement that he was coming out of retirement, I was completely against his decision. I thought he should hang it up and leave the game. As the season unfolded and I watched him play and learned more about who he was, he ended up winning me over. I am now a fan of his and hope he makes a decision that works best for him. I admire him and what he stands for and that he excelled even though he was bad-mouthed and ridiculed by many. This shows that he is a leader and is willing to look at those who were against him and make them believers. I am one of those people and he earned my respect and I am sure he earned the respect of others as well.
